Rhubarb and Ginger Extra Jam
Ginger makes a lovely combination with rhubarb, an edible plant stalk. We use outdoor grown rhubarb that is available from June onwards and has a better flavour than the delicate early forced rhubarb.
All of our jams are extra jams, having more fruit in than typical supermarket brands. An extra jam has to have a minimum of 45g fruit per 100g product and must be made from whole fruit. Each of our jams is made seasonally and we use hand-picked, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We use granulated cane sugar in all of our jams and do not add any artificial flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
Our jams have a best before date one year from the date of production and will be fine kept in a cupboard, larder or other cool, dark, dry place for many months; once opened they should be refrigerated and used within 3-4 weeks.
