Apricot Extra Jam
Apricot Extra Jam is a lovely traditional flavour jam and one of our most popular. Our jam is made from halved fresh apricots, which produces a lovely soft set and flavoursome jam. While this is lovely spread on toast it is also commonly used by cake bakers to spread on a rich fruit cake to help a marzipan layer stick to the cake before icing.
All of our jams are extra jams, having more fruit in than typical supermarket brands. An extra jam has to have a minimum of 45g fruit per 100g product and must be made from whole fruit. Each of our jams is made seasonally and we use hand-picked, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We use granulated cane sugar in all of our jams and do not add any artificial flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
Our jams have a best before date one year from the date of production and will be fine kept in a cupboard, larder or other cool, dark, dry place for many months; once opened they should be refrigerated and used within 3-4 weeks.
